Harpenden Dance School is based in Hertfordshire (Herts), established in 1982 as Louise Sheaves School of Dance, changing to HDS in 2017. We offer classes for children aged from 2 years+. Our timetable of dance styles include Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Modern Theatre, and Contemporary Jazz, plus adult classes for Ballet-Tone, Tap, and Jazz. Approximately 400 pupils attend weekly lessons.
Philippa O’Donovan assisted by a team of teachers bringing a wealth of qualifications and experience to the school which also enjoys the benefits of talented pianists in all of our ballet and pre-school dance classes.
Pupils have the opportunity to be entered for examinations with the Royal Academy of Dance and/or the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing.
Dance is a fun way for anyone to stay active and increase fitness.
At Harpenden Dance School we are proud to be friendly and inclusive. We are passionate about helping everyone to develop important physical and transferable skills in a nurturing and creative environment, whether dancing recreationally or working towards a professional career.
